How did you get into Avatar?: Through my sister, actually; she told me it was a great show and I got really into it. I watched all of seasons 1 and 2 online in time to catch CoD on TV.
What was your reaction to the series?: Love. XD
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Yeah, I'd say so. Probably second or third at the moment.
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Yep. =D
Favorite characters: Toph, Iroh, Sokka
Least favorite characters: Um... Azula makes me want to hurt things some times, but she is pretty kickass. There aren't any characters that I really dislike, at most I'm indifferent.
Favorite episodes: This is hard. CoD and Zuko Alone, probably.

What are you looking forward to most in the third season? EVERYTHING. The trailers make it just look so cool, I want some good fight scenes.

Do you draw fanart?: Random doodles.

How did you get into Avatar?: My friend [info]debacul introduced me (AND SUBSEQUENTLY CHANGED MY LIFE :D)
What was your reaction to the series?: At first I thought it was really adorable, but that gradually changed into a sense of awe when I realized how freaking epic it can be?
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: It comes and goes, but for the most part it's up there with the big ones. I don't really spend as much time ranting/metaing about it, but whenever somebody wants to talk or spazz, I'm more than willing.
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Everything except "Appa's Lost Days" (I think that's what it's called?) Unfortunatley, I came into the fandom just after S2 ended, so it took me a loooong time to catch up...
Favorite characters: Iroh, Zhao, Ozai...and probably everyone else? Seriously, I love them all way too much. ♥ But those guys are my top three. I think Iroh is FREAKING ADORABLE in addition to being really hardcore, and Zhao is (was?) a really interesting guy...same with Ozai. He's sort of fascinating.
Least favorite characters: I really don't have any...maybe people like Haru who are sort of inconsequential? But it's not because I don't like them, it's just that I feel like they aren't super-important to the series.
Favorite episodes: Oh dear. Um. Probably Zuko Alone? And also CoD and Siege of the North because those are both SO PRETTY.

What are you looking forward to most in the third season? ANYTHING Fire Nation related. I'm totally thrilled to be able to see more of their socioeconomics and their propaganda and their crazy-ass, ethnocentric government? I'm sort of nerding out to a ridiculous extent about this.

Also, the Mai/Zuko make-out-ing won't hurt at all. :x

Do you draw fanart?: Haha, I would love to, but it would be crap. Maybe stick-figure art if I'm bored?
Do you write fanfic?: Drabbles that I rarely show to anyone unless I think they're awesome. Which doesn't happen often. But if somebody requests something, I'd go for it.
Do you make icons?: Again, if I were at all talented, chyea. I totally would.
Any other fandom-related projects?: Essays related to character psychology (hey, it's my major. What can I say.) and other bits of meta. Also, lots of yelling and capslocking and picspaming. Are those fandom projects?

Other fandoms? Lots: The Phantom of the Opera, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VIII, Firefly, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Harry Potter, Dragon Quest VIII, Quest for Glory and Tomb Raider are my biggest ones, and random ones show up from time to time.
Interests outside of fandom: Writing, pschology, sociology, anthropology, history, and a crazy obsession with Broadway musicals. They sort of RUN MY LIFE, I think.

How did you get into Avatar?: Saw the premiere and the episode with shirtless Zuko, then lost track of it; interest renewed after watching the season 2 "Secret of the Fire Nation" movie with the drill. ("Missing Appa? "Zuko?...YOUR HAIR.")
What was your reaction to the series?: Surprised and impressed by the premiere, and the shirtless Zuko ep.'s of indepth "villains" in said Zuko and Uncle Iroh--we got to see a snapshot of their side of the story too.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Exceedingly high, atmospheric high.

How did you get into Avatar?: Like most of my fandoms, I stumbled into it. My siblings were watching it.
What was your reaction to the series?: I was instantly interested in the action and martial arts, the elements, the Eastern influences. The characters grew on me quite fast and I became fond many of them.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Top 10 definitely, most likely Top 5.
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Yes, I had to do a little backtracking as I came in after the premiere but before the mid-season ep of Season 1. But I caught up fast and haven't missed an episode since!

How did you get into Avatar?: Lots of stuff! My niece and nephew watched Imprisoned and I watched it with them, people were playing the characters in an RPG I was playing in, my best friend sent me youtube links . . . I got hooked. =D
What was your reaction to the series?: The first time I watched it with my niece and nephew I was pretty surprised by how funny it was. "THAT LEMUR IS EARTHBENDING OMGWTF" and all. When I first saw the previews I thought that Nickelodeon was just capitalizing on anime fever, but I was definitely willing to give it a chance. I've been a fan of cartoons, especially adventure cartoons with a consecutive storyline and characters that I can love, for a long time, so when I realized Avatar was just that, I was an extremely happy girl.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: At the moment it's tops! It's the fandom I go crazy for and exactly the kind of thing that I as a college student aiming for a career in scriptwriting want to work on.
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Yes. Many times.
Favorite characters: I fangirl Iroh. A lot. It's hard to say what other characters are my favorites, since I love them all so much, but closely after Iroh in terms of favorosity is Toph . . . and Ty Lee. I want to be Toph when I grow up. =D
Least favorite characters: It's hard to say because although I'd like to punch Zuko in the face, I really really lik ewatching his story. He's an absolutely brilliant character, because it isn't often that I actually want to find out what happens to a guy I'd like to punch in the face. He's as fascinating as he is infuriating.
Favorite episodes: Oh jeeze, um. Um. I know I must have a favorite. The Spirit World 'cause naked Iroh FTW I think if I have to choose, then I'll have to pick Bitter Work, on account of it being so replete with UTTER COOLNESS and also because it was the episode that corrected my false panicky notion that Iroh was dead. Oddly enough, my other favorite is The Swamp. Give that one a figure. =D

What are you looking forward to most in the third season? Iroh backstory plz. Also Ty Lee backstory and Katara showing more midriff but mostly Iroh backstory. If there is none I will be made of sadness.

Do you draw fanart?: Not as much as I do fancrafts. I will draw the occasional silly comic but I'm much more likely to paint something that looks Avatardid-ish. Although my best friend and I are starting to write and draw a giant crossover crack comic and technically that's going to feature a lot of Avatar fanart once the Avatar characters get in it.
Do you write fanfic?: I don't write very much fanfic these days. The only thing that counts is the crossover comic I mentioned, which a few Avatar characters are going to have very important roles in.
Do you make icons?: Nope! I have no photoshop.
Any other fandom-related projects?: My fancrafts! I'm painting a ceramic tea set based on Avatar iconography. the plate took a looooong time. I'm also a henna artist, and I'm designing tattoos for the four nations in henna. I've already done air. I also intend to sew most, if not all, of the clothes Ty Lee has worn and cosplay her at many conventions, but that's for the future.

Jeeze, I'm verbose.

Other fandoms? My ultimate fandom loyalty is to Lord of the Rings, but Xena: Warrior Princess is a strong contender for the top seat, too. I'll watch and probably love anything Joss Whedon has had a hand in, so, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly are awesome. I adore the Tenth Kingdom, lots. I'm also hoping against hope to one day find someone who loves the W.I.T.C.H. comic books as much as I do. I'm not crazy about the cartoon, but the comic book is something I wish I'd had when I was 12. I love Will so much. I pretty much was her when I was her age. Minus the cool powers.
Interests outside of fandom: I'm an anthropology major and I love learning about human culture. I'm learning capoeira, tai chi, and yoga, and I like cooking. It sounds so generic to say i like music, but my taste is too broad to narrow down beyond that. I like techno and celtic and rai and traditional Japanese instrumentation and middle-eastern bellydancing music and banghra and Polynesian music and . . . yeah, many things. New music is one of my greatest joys in life. My favorite artist is Vienna Teng, and believe me, she had to beat out a LOT of other beloved contenders for the top spot. I also rollerblade and climb trees and rant about the media, and play a lot of tabletop RPGs with my friends. Exalted and Shadowrun are my favorites.

How did you get into Avatar?: I've seen snatches on TV but never managed to see a full episode. I had heard a lot about it, and thought mentally that someday I should set aside some time and really watch it. Then I found it online and started watching it and became absolutely hooked. I don't know if it's important, but fanfiction has made me a little more liberal so sometimes I feel very intrigued at Zuko and Aang's relationship, especially after The Blue Spirit and the scene when Zuko was recovering from his warring of the minds and he saw Aang's face in his reflection. I don't think I'd be convinced of Zuko/Aang, but if anything were to happen in Season 3, bewarned I might want to talk about it. So all in all, if you're a homophobe, that might limit our discussions. XD

I'm pretty adaptable and easy going, so. Don't be too afraid of me.

How did you get into Avatar?: I kept seeing ads for it on Nickelodeon and desided to watch it when it premired.
What was your reaction to the series?: I was skeptical at first, after seeing a lot of the shows jump into the Japanese-anime bandwagon and fail. Then it premired and I fell in love. I was surprised that it had a continuous storyline, character development, awsome fight scenes, etc. It also helped that the characters didn't have sweatdrops and whatnot every minute.

Uhm, actually. After seeing the previews for the first seasons primere I was liek, "ohmaigod, use of elements?! -must watch!"And I ended up tuning in. And fell in lurve with it. `Twas magical.

DO WANT. Pretty much. I was blown away by it's epic-ness. And dramatic, fighting scenes. Especially after Agni Kai. olksdfsdf, shirtless Zuko is delicious.

How did you get into Avatar?: The TV was turned onto Nick and I wasn't really paying attention. I was on the computer. Anyway, it was the premiere of the "first ever Avatar movie." And so I started watching it, because it seemed kinda interesting in the first five minutes. Then I realized that it's freaking AWESOME!
What was your reaction to the series?: Like I said, that it's freaking awesome. I ended up getting all my close friends obsessed with it too.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Ehh, not really no. Harry Potter is my number one fandom, hands down. I'm not really heavily involved in the Avatar fandom, I guess. But I very well could become a lot more involved now that the HP fandom is starting to slow down a bit what with the end of the books.

How did you get into Avatar?: Someone pointed me at it about two episodes in. I watched it on and off until about halfway through Season One, when I realized it was OMG SHINY.
What was your reaction to the series?: PENGUIN SLEDDING ♥
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Pretty up there, yes.
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Except for Season Three. D:
Favorite characters: Sokka! Closely followed by Aang, Toph, Iroh - uh, everyone really. I also adore a lot of minor characters like Jet, Song, and Haru.
Least favorite characters: Bah. No such thing.
Favorite episodes: "Crossroads of Destiny" and "Lake Laogai"

What are you looking forward to most in the third season? The inevitable AWESOME.

Do you draw fanart?: Hahahano.
Do you write fanfic?: Badfic. Mostly about swampbenders. Yeah, don't ask.
Do you make icons?: Not good ones.
Any other fandom-related projects?: Does incoherent flailing count?

Other fandoms? Naruto, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Bleach, Squeenix - whatever catches my fancy. I'm a fandom packrat.
Interests outside of fandom: Tons of stuff, but I keep all the nonfandom crap under flock.

What is your friending policy, if you have one?: I friend almost anyone as long as the journal's not dead, but I don't check my profile very often, so sometimes it takes me months a while to notice. Comments are good.

How did you get into Avatar?: A friend of mine kept bugging me about how great Avatar was and thankfully I listened to her.
What was your reaction to the series?: I thought it was okay until my friend bugged me to watch more, then I decided it was just awesome~.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Kind of. I mean, I do make posts fangirling about the show and I think it's the most awesome well-done animated tv show in years, but I stay mostly away from its fandom.

How did you get into Avatar?: YTV was showing commercials for Avatar and I thought it looked cool, so I tuned in to the first episode and was instantly hooked.
What was your reaction to the series?: OMGWTHBBQ!!?? This thing is an AMERICAN CARTOON???? *shock* Then fangirl'd over Zuko, started imagining Zutara and was floored by the amazing quality of the voice actors.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Yes actually. Naruto used to be #1, then I watched the season finale of Avatar S1 and Avatar kicked Naruto out to fit in nicely at the very top.
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Meaning S1+2? Yes. (I've also re-watched the S1 boxset five times.)
Favorite characters: Top three in no particular order: Katara, Sokka, Toph.
Least favorite characters: In Avatar? Ah.... I... I actually don't have one, now that I think about it. o-O
Favorite episodes: "Zuko Alone", "Appa's Lost Days" and "Blind Bandit" to name a few.

What are you looking forward to most in the third season? The Bending fights! Nothing is more amazing to me then the fight scenes between Benders. (Except for Zutara!)

How did you get into Avatar?: Watching Nikelodean one day when I was home sick from school. All I do when I'm home sick is watch Disney and Nikelodean. Because there's no one around to make fun of me.. heh. It was the most awesome thing I had seen all day, so then I found out what day it was on and I causually found a reason to be in front of a TV Fridays at 8.
What was your reaction to the series?: I loooooved it. Some parts were goofy and dumb but most of it had reeeeeeal depth, which is pretty cool for a Nick show.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: Umm... no. Unfortunately not. I really only got into it after last season ended, so I haven't had any new episodes to squee over. It may rise in the ranks this fall, but I'm just not sure...
Have you see the series in its entirety?: Yessss.
Favorite characters: Mai, Azula, Zuko, Sokka, Aang.

How did you get into Avatar?: Signed up to the American Nickelodeon site for fun. They announced a new show called "Avatar" way before it was shown here in Asia and I thought it was another stupid Shaolin Showdow-esque show but gave it the benefit of the doubt and when it premiered in Asia I watched it.
What was your reaction to the series?: IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
Does Avatar rank very high on your fandom list?: ONLY THE HIGHEST.

Least favorite characters: I would like Mai to get more character development. That's all I ask.
